Lawyers and expert witnesses already use AI, yet there is still no consistent way to show it meets their professional duties. After the SRA warning notice of 17 August 2026 and the 5th edition of the RICS standard for surveyors acting as expert witnesses, issued in July 2026, the direction is clear. The open question is practical: who carries the responsibility, and how do firms prove it?

The first AI Assurance Forum, co-hosted by DWF and Ecsper, for general counsel, instructing solicitors, barristers, expert witnesses, and leaders, investors and founders working in disputes.
